Jim Shomos, innovative Australian writer/producer and also LAMP mentor, is about to launch his latest collaboration Mordy Koots, on an unsuspecting public.

Gary blogged about the project last month & prior to their shoot in a post entitled Thumbs-up for Aussie innovation live action film-in-game looking at Mordy as a new genre, other examples and what it may mean for indie producers. globally.  Jim just sent us this press release which details the screen launches in November, the production process and a teaser of some cool guest appearances…

Australia‟s most famous brothers, the Jacobson‟s, this week wrapped shooting for their groundbreaking new comedy series, Mordy Koots which will be launched on November 16 at Sydney‟s Popcorn Taxi. The 10×3 minute series will be available to download for free from ninemsn. Popcorn Taxi will screen all 10 episodes followed by a Q&A with Clayton and Shane Jacobson.

At the zoo, kids set out on the Wild Ark discovery trail where they use mobile phones to follow clues. Along the way they encounter animals up close and discover their stories through short videos delivered to their phone. In Wild Ark online, they can plays games in habitats from the far reach of the globe, connect with other kids through animal clubs, share stories of their experiences and even adopt a real animal. Wild Ark also offers kids the rare opportunity to get behind the scenes and get local hands-on experience in real world conservation and wildlife programs. The Wild Ark world appeals to the sense of adventure inherent in kids, is fun and empowers kids to take action on issues they care about.

Project description: ÜBERgroover.tv demystifies dance by introducing a group of everyday people to a diverse range of wild dances and drives their personal transformation to the ultimate rhythmic experience – natural ecstasy. ÜBERgroover.tv is the ultimate cross media experience: it is a TV series supported by mobile users and the online ÜBERgroover community which will inspire the creation of new dance forms and culminate in the design of Australia’s own ÜBERgroove.
