International Interactive Emmy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LAMP mentored &#8216;Social Media, Multi-Platform&#8217; Drama Scorched won the coveted International Interactive Emmy Award from the Academy of Television Arts &amp; Sciences last night at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mipworld.com\/en\/MIPTV\/Conferences-events\/Emmy-awards\/\" target=\"_blank\">MIP TV<\/a>. The first time Australia has won this award.<\/p>\n<p>A big congratulations particularly to producers Marcus Gillezeau &amp; Ellenor Cox (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.firelight.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\">of Firelight<\/a>) from all at AFTRS and especially the LAMP team. Live from <a href=\"http:\/\/search.twitter.com\/search?q=%23miptv\">#miptv<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other awards winners noted by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tvweek.com\/news\/2009\/03\/international_digital_emmy_win.php\" target=\"_blank\">TV Week<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The International Academy of Television Arts &amp; Sciences revealed the winners for the International Digital Emmy Awards at the MIP TV opening festivities in Cannes, France.<\/p>\n<p>Australia won its first International Digital Emmy award in the fiction category for \u201cScorched.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The non-fiction category went to \u201cBritain From Above,\u201d while \u201cBattlefront\u201d won the children and young people category. Both programs were from the U.K.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The Digital Media magazine also <a href=\"http:\/\/www.digital-media.net.au\/Article\/Local-digital-innovators-in-line-for-honours\/473659.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">featured an article<\/a> prior to MIP TV referring to LAMP&#8217;s involvement in the project &#8211;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Meanwhile the makers of NineMSN cross-platform drama Scorched, \u00a0Marcus Gillezeau, Ellenor Cox, Michael O&#8217;Neill and Brad Hayward, have been nominated for an International Digital Emmy Award. \u00a0The awards ceremony will be held on March 30 at the \u00a0MipTV conference. Scorched was financed by Nine Network, ITV International, Screen Australia and the New South Wales Film and Television Office and developed through the Australian Film Television &amp; Radio School\u2019s Laboratory of Advanced Media Production (LAMP), which is Australia\u2019s premier emerging media research and development production lab.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Below is a shot of the team with Jackie Turnure (far right &#8211; now at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hoodlum.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\">Hoodlum<\/a>) back in May 2006 when they started planning the Social Media elements of the experience on a <a href=\"http:\/\/storylabs.us\/lamp\/2006\/05\/15\/project-scorched\/\" target=\"_blank\">LAMP residential.<\/a> There were then several follow up sessions with them to help crystallize their ideas.
