LAMP WPD FRIDAY COURSE
WRITING FOR NEW MEDIA FRIDAYS
A collaborative page to develop the LAMP Friday curriculum days for writers, producers and directors. Also including production days with digital media, cinematographers and sound and CD students. THREE BLOCKS
- The Storyworld. Seven weeks. Cross-Media Project/Game working in conjunction with the development of the MA TV slate. Proposals will be pitched to TV industry writers and producers.
- The Virtual Story. Eight Weeks. Production of four machinima short films using story dev tools and collaborative production techniques. Project brief will limit number of cast and locations for manageability. Completed films will be submitted to the NY Machinima festival.
- The Story in the Game. Eleven Weeks. Game design project and attachment with 'technical' focused edu. Designing a strong narrative based game with a view to producing a design bible and a real world pitch using supporting sketch boards and detailed style boards. Pitch to Game industry execs/creatives.

START OF BLOCK 1 - "The Storyworld"
- Wk 1, May 4 - Introduction to the whole course and the three blocks. Small workshop in ideas development. Homework - students must research example of cross media extension of TV show and bring idea for the MATV show to present next session. Writers/Producers

- Wk 3, June 1 - Project development. Writers/Producers
